Steven and Leyla helped us with all aspects of designing and securing planning permission and building control approval for a ground floor extension to our terraced property in North West London, including all necessary drawings.  Throughout the process their communication, attention to detail and patience with our queries was extremely impressive and the good experience we had with this project led us to engage them for a second much larger full house renovation project. We have been working with Steven and Leyla for the past year on the complete refurbishment of a terraced Victorian home in Northwest London. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They are creative, detailed, and highly responsive to our needs. Steven and Leyla take the time to understand our taste and how we live, and this is reflected in their architectural drawings and design choices for the home. They prepared the plans for both our loft conversion and house extension, and from start to finish the service was exceptional.
Leyla and Steve were extremely professional, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They kept us fully informed at every stage, always took the time to answer any questions we had and made the whole experience straightforward and stress-free.
They also took care of arranging the Party Wall Agreement and Thames Water Build Over Agreement, which was a huge help and made the process so much easier for us.
Their attention to detail, excellent communication and willingness to go above and beyond really stood out.

I’m delighted with the service I received from Steven Gray Designs. My extension project was in a difficult green belt location, and I knew the planning process would be challenging. Steven and Leyla took the time to understand my needs, produced thoughtful and sensitive designs, and gave me honest guidance from day one.

His knowledge of green belt planning constraints was invaluable, and he handled the entire application process professionally and efficiently. The communication was always clear, timely, and reassuring.

Contracted Steven Gray Designs earlier this year for a single story extension. From initial consultation to final approval, Steven and Leyla were great. Knowledgeable, professional, honest and flexible. Worked to high standards and met all schedules. I engaged Steven Gray Designs to obtain Planning for a rear kitchen extension after a recommendation from a friend. Steven engages well with the Client, provided several architectural layout options for discussion  and then completed the design to satisfy the Client’s requirements which then obtained Planning Approval from Haringey Council as well as Building Control approval. Steven dealt with the Council directly during the Planning Process answering their queries and also liaised with Thames Water to obtain the Build over approval which I thoroughly recommend to avoid further complications when selling the property or if the sewer is damaged by the building works.
As Steven is a Party Wall Surveyor as well, I engaged the firm to deal with the Party Wall matters on both sides which is now nearing completion.
I found that Steven and his Office Manager Leyla are very prompt in dealing with queries and offer a friendly customer service experience and I thoroughly recommend using their services for any Building Project.  I look forward to working with them during the construction works.

Steven and his team were a pleasure to work with. They took on board our ideas for development and were able to interpret this into a final design which fully utilised the space of our property. They managed all aspects of the application process with the council, which can feel daunting, and helped us achieve a positive outcome. They were also a great help in recommending contractors and were always available with advice on all aspects of the build.
